Explicit rants from Kurt and Kyle Busch highlight best NASCAR in-car audio this season
Kurt Busch may have won the Daytona 500 to kick off the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season but just two races later at Las Vegas Motor Speedway he was very frustrated with his crew.
The No. 41 driver thought he was told to pit with the leaders but crew chief Tony Gibson said to stay on the track for positioning. It was one of the many back-and-forths between Busch and his team which led to Gibson telling his driver to "quit being a smartass and drive."
The elder Busch brother wasn't the only one who needs to donate to the swear jar. Kyle Busch was irate with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. at Martinsville at the end of Stage 2. Stenhouse smacked into the No. 18 in order to stay on the lead lap. Stenhouse's tap also allowed Chase Elliot to dive to the inside of Kyle Busch's car to win the stage and take a playoff point away from him.
"Hahaha f— the No. 17, Oh my (expletive) what a (expletive)," Busch said on the team's radio. "We got a left-front rub, we got a f—left-rear rub, we got every (expletive) rub because I got the s— beat out of me for no f— reason."
From these two expletive-laced rants from the Busch brothers to Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson getting aggravated with Ryan Blaney at Martinsville, check out the four best in-car audio moments from the first seven races of the season.
After a week off for Easter, NASCAR will be back in action for more short-track tempers on Sunday, April 23 at Bristol.
