Disney Night on 'Dancing With the Stars' saw David Ross and Lindsay Arnold channel 'Cars 3'
Monday night, the latest chapter of one of this season's most beloved ongoing stories unfolded on live television -- retired Cubs World Series hero David Ross on "Dancing With the Stars."
And this time, the theme of the night was Disney ... meaning that the respective pairs of dancers strutted their stuff in fancy Disney-themed outfits along to music selections culled from various cinematic classics over the years.
Grandpa Rossy and Lindsay Arnold, otherwise known as #LadyAndTheGramp, found themselves dressed up as race car drivers in an inspired dance segment paying homage to the upcoming Cars 3. Their accompanying music for the set was Z.Z. Ward's "Ride," which will be featured in the film.
They entered the stage in style (which by now shouldn't be much of a surprise[1]):
And then busted some serious moves:
The whole thing was a lot of fun:
For their efforts, #LadyAndTheGramp received a score of 29 out of a possible 40.
Alas, Ross' ex-teammates weren't able to watch Monday's performance live from the ballpark like they did last week[2] (since they were battling the Brewers at Wrigley Field[3]), but they'll surely get caught up soon enough.
As you'd imagine given his enthusiasm on the broadcast, Ross seems to have had a great time once again:
