Teenager flung from bed as car careers into bedroom
A teenager has told how he was flung from his bed fast asleep as a car crashed into his home.
Structural engineers are examining the damage caused to a home in Tetney as the car crashed into it just after midnight on Thursday, March 2.
Joe Marshall, 19, was sleeping in a front room at his family home on Town Road when the black Audi A5 crashed into his room, damaging the house and crushing his bed.

One of his neighbours was also hurt when a brick was hurled through her bedroom window and hit her leg while she was asleep.
Mr Marshall said: "The last thing I knew I was in bed and suddenly I was stood up. It was cold and there was just a light shining in my face.
"I did not know what happened and I was a bit confused.
"I put a jumper on and stumbled out my door. In the hallway my Mum was there asking me if I was alright."
"I sat down for 10-15 minutes and when I made my way back to have a look and I was greeted by a car half way through my bedroom.[3]
"My bed was crushed.
"I only remember standing up. I knew I got flung out of my bed.
"I just remember standing up and seeing the light. I was panicky and felt half in a dream from being asleep.
"I'm just happy it was only a wall and not me."

Remarkably, Mr Marshall only sustained cuts and a bump to his head.
The £20,000 car also damaged a neighbouring house.
Homeowner Steve McMillan said he could have been killed had he arrived home five minutes earlier from his shift as a DHL tanker driver.
The impact sheared a 10ft conifer and demolished a brick wall.
The force of the collision threw bricks and coping stones through the front door and front window of the bedroom where his wife, Carole, 63, was asleep.
Mr McMillan, 57, said: "I saw my wife out at the front of the house and wondered what she was doing and then I saw the front wall had gone and the car was embedded in the neighbour's house.
"If I had been five minutes earlier I would have been on the driveway and he would have hit me. The impact could have killed me. It does not bear thinking about.
"Mr McMillan, who is chairman of Tetney Parish Council, said he will be lobbying his district and county councillors to ensure bollards are installed on the notorious bend where Station Road meets Town Road.
The driver of the car, a 26 year-old man from Holton Le Clay[5], was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Lincolnshire Police appeal for anyone who saw the crash to contact them by ringing 101 and quoting incident 2 of March 2.
